I’ve been with Heron Instruments for over 12 years and have worked my way through all different areas of the business to my current position. This gives me a great top to bottom understanding of how the water level monitor business works and how our clients’ needs have changed over the years. I started in the assembly department, manufacturing the electronic panels and probes for Heron’s water level meters and interface meters. My knowledge expanded to manufacturing dipperLogs not long after that. At Heron, we all gain valuable experience by multitasking. I answered phones when they rang and helped out with purchasing, shipping and receiving. As the business grew I became adept in our distribution processes and focused almost entirely on that. Eventually I was offered the position of Distributor Service Co-Coordinator. With my knowledge of the manufacturing processes, parts and product purchasing and personal relationships with clients, I knew this position was the right fit. Here my duties have further expanded to include sales and marketing for both distributors and end users.
