Bilingual Educator & Communication Specialist | Empowering Learning in English & Spanish.As a seasoned English, Spanish, Film and Television teacher since 1995, I have acquired extensive amounts of experience. Currently, I am teaching through Berlitz Corporation and I have entered the Teacher Credential Program at Cal State starting this Fall Semester. I have honed my skills in curriculum development, classroom management, and student engagement. My approach emphasizes mastery-based learning, standardized based learning, and putting into practice different methods which assist in identifying which students are visual learners (movie, pictures, graphs), auditory learners (music, discussion, lectures), reading and writing learner (making lists, reading textbooks, taking notes), and Kinesthetic learners (experiments, hands on activities). By putting into practice these foundational skills and integrating technology to enhance learning outcomes I have reached satisfactory teaching goals. Additionally, the experience acquired as an Spanish Immersion Bi-literacy Teacher at NiHao Inc., has permitted me to teach and gain experience which provided me the opportunity to further underscore my commitment to providing enriching learning experiences for students of all backgrounds. What’s more, in addition to teaching, I am the founder of my own advertising, marketing, journalism, and television production company, Terri Thrush Productions, which adds a rich background in film and television production. This experience has honed my skills in management, creative production, directing, management, accounting, human resources, team leadership, customer service, finance, and funding. Whether it's guiding students towards academic success or overseeing complex production projects, or guiding learners how to use software or hardware, I excel at driving results through innovative thinking and effective collaboration within a positive and inclusive culture.
