The Global Innovation Hub was created by the G20 Health Working Group in 2020 and endorsed by G20 Leaders.As a continuation of my work with the G20, I helped establish the Hub from the outset. In my role as Director of Policy, I lead engagement with the G20 Health Working Group and Joint Finance and Health Task Force. I also led development and execution of all knowledge products.

As a policy advisor to the Secretariat, I aided the implementation of the G20 Presidency policy strategy, including negotiating the G20 Leaders’ Declaration with countries, crafting policy positions, contributing to Leader-level talking points and speeches, and working with 12 government entities at the ministerial level. In addition, I acted as the official G20 drafter during negotiations for the Ministry of Energy and Leaders Declaration NegotiationI also led the Covid-19 short term health financing response strategy which accounted for $21BN in global fund mobilization, working in conjunction with European Commission, ACT-A and COVAX. The functional areas include vaccine access, therapeutics and diagnostic production and access.(Initially worked with the Tony Blair Institute to advise on the G20 priorities, subsequently asked to join the Secretariat Team directly)

Dalberg Advisors is an international development consulting firm. I was based out of the Johannesburg office and therefore the bulk of my work was focused on the African continent. I managed teams of between 2-6 and worked across multiple sectors, countries and clients on issues ranging from internet infrastructure development in Liberia, Digital ID implementation in Togo and Ethiopia, last mile internet access in Nigeria, urban resilience planning in South Africa and global public health strategies in Europe.
