Supports clients by extracting data from previous EHRs and ancillary healthcare IT systems, transforming the data into new formats, and then importing the data into their new go forward EHRs. In addition to performing this technical work, the Technical Data Migration consultant will use their interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work.

• Serves as main point of contact for technical issues and general questions as they relate to the Epic environment, data migration, integrations, interfaces and security assignments. Security: Security administrator.
• Developing, communicating, and managing the Epic environment strategy
• Developing new or enhancing existing change control processes
• Participating/leading change control, upgrade planning, and go‐live planning committees
• Designing data migration strategies and managing large data loads
• Enforcing proper environment use for build, testing, and training to project team

Ensure the stable operation of and perform all related activities for supporting OrthoCarolina’s Electronic Health Records System (EHR) and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). Includes system setup, interfacing and on-going application maintenance for messaging, dictation, transcription, scanning, order and charge-entry, and preparing X-ray.

Responsible for leading a team of individuals in the implementation of our electronic health records system.

Perform all related activities for supporting the Electronic Health Records and Dictation Systems. Includes system setup, interfacing and on-going application maintenance for messaging, dictation, transcription and scanning. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all EHR associated operating systems, databases and application.

Supervised the transcription department, which included 20+ transcriptionists, transcription assistants and a scribe. Facilitated in the department's transition from in-house to at-home employment, implementing the use of an electronic health records system. Modified policies and procedures which resulted in increased productivity, higher quality documents.
