As a specialist in our education sector, Terry is focused on generating genuine value for communities through transformational civic and social architecture that is sensitive to people, place, and culture. Over more than two decades in architecture, he has earned industry recognition for a range of influential projects across Brisbane. His portfolio includes higher education work such as the University of Queensland Sports Precinct and the Griffith University Arrivals Building as well as contemporary vertical schools such as Brisbane South State Secondary College and the New Farm State School expansion. Terry is also a panel member with Queensland Urban Design and Places Panel. Prior to joining us, Terry was Senior Practice Director at BVN after spending part of his early career with up-and-coming studios in Austria and the UK. In addition to education, Terry has significant experience in the health and supported housing sectors as well as in master planning for urban precincts.

I joined a young cutting edge architectural studio during my time living in Austria, where I collaborated with the group designing many small contemporary projects ranging from bank retail outlets, supermarkets, houses and apartment buildings in the historic city of Graz.

London, United Kingdom

Throughout my time in London I worked with a young and exciting architectural firm within the entertainment, leisure and commercial sectors. The leadership team gave myself, a young architect, free reign in the design and delivery of a number of award winning restaurants, bars, fitness centres and office projects throughout inner London, including Michelin Star Umu and Greenhouse Restaurants for the Abella group, little SoHo, LA Fitness and Angels the Costumers.

Graduating from University, I joined Cox Rayner Architects working on a range of local and international competitions including the Goodwill Bridge in Brisbane. Shortly thereafter I became dedicated to the New Farm Powerhouse, working on this wonderful project from inception through documentation and onto site.

Sunshine Coast, Australia

I was extremely fortunate to commence my architectural career working with Lindsay and Kerry Clare at the sunshine coast, working on a range of beach houses and the Cotton Tree Residential Development.
