Managing a mixture of 25 Boilermaker \ Welders, 5 Riggers and 4 Trades Assistants and ensuring work is undertaken to the required oil and gas standards at all timesResponsibilities:- Installing and setting of 36 pipe rack modules of ISBL- Permit requesting of various forms- Working at heights and associated work- Liaising with Supervisors, Superintendents, Engineers and liaising with the general labour- Installing and erecting of stick built and modular steel- Punch listing to meet job completion targets and requirements- Fluency with CSU activities and lock out of tag out systems- General structural works and modifications to the various Australian standards- Carrying out various types of welding of different metals using STICK AND FLUX CORE- Organising craneage as well as equipment so as to complete jobs- Organising workpacks and materials for jobs and boilermakers workshop- Undertaking data entry of daily times into e-track as well as creating daily reports- Delivery of pre-start and re-start meetings as well as undertaking tool box talks to employees - Making certain all OH&S regulations and requirements are met

This was a FIFO position and I was employed as a Special Class Welder on the QCLNG Jetty Project, based in Gladstone, QLDResponsibilities:- Liaising with engineers and supervisors to meet job requirements- Welding of pillions and headstocks to AS1796 FCAW- Undertaking heavy fabrication 30 mm plus- Assisting riggers with lifts of up to 30 tonne- Carrying out 235 days off-shore barge works- Assisting with barge movements with tugs boats- Barge maintenance (mechanical and structural)- Supervising inventory and maintaining welding consumables on the barge store for job- Carrying out 79 days on-shore marine traveller works- Assisting in traveller movements- Ensuring all health and safety policies and procedures are met at all times

I was part of the mechanical team for Monadelphous and the Cadia Valley Project in NSW. Responsibilities:- Interpreting construction drawings and specifications - Fabricating items required as well as installing pipe work as per construction drawings- Welding according to various codes and standards up to and including AS1796- Working long hours as part of a team during planned shutdowns to reduce company’s down-time - Undertaking Brownfield maintenance and shutdowns, as well as Greenfield construction- Working on physically demanding tasks with motivation and a strong work ethic- Working within mine site safety guidelines and working within mine site procedures- Adhering strictly to all OH&S procedures and policies
