This is a hands-on Development position that leads by coding along with the development team and is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and participating in the development requests related to the web-based applications of United Healthcare. The position will be responsible for the overall coding effort and supervision of the Web Application Development staff and ensuring .NET –based web applications meet data integrity, performance, business, and security objectives for complex application features using tools like Visual Studio and interaction with relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems or equivalent work experience, a minimum five year of high level application design and development, and a minimum two years as a project leader on multiple projects and projects of medium or greater size with complexity and impact. Experience is required in directing and leading others, either in a supervisory or project management role. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of .NET, C#, MVC, ASP, VB, Responsive Web Design (RWD), Javascript, jQuery, HTML, DHMTL, CSS, SQL, Web Services, Crystal Reports, all current versions of Windows Server and IIS. Working knowledge of relational database environments, experience in building data driven applications in a Web environment, and experience with the software development life cycle process. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, leadership ability, project management and time management skills, and verbal and written communication skills are essential.
