I have built RESTful APIs specifically using C# designed both as microservices as well as full blown integrated systems. I have built large scale and small scale turnkey systems, SaaS systems, and data integration systems. I enjoy working as a part of a team of people but have experience in solo environments as well. I have a passion for problem solving and I am relentless when tracking down bugs.I have used version control systems throughout my career and understand the power they bring to the table. I am a big supporter of GitHub but have also used other systems such as Perforce. I believe that when developing code, you should always pick the correct tool for the task rather than forcing what you know into the equation. I love learning new technology but also love using the right technology.My work includes managing engineers, managing non-technical people, designing systems, writing code, designing and building databases, starting companies from scratch, and working with existing companies navigating the ever-changing world of online technology. I have experience with FinTech, online publishing, insurance industry, and customer relationship management. I have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and I am comfortable mentoring new engineers as well as talking to senior management.Coding is what I am great at.
