Terry’s career spans over 40 years in business with executive and non-executive experience in privately owned, not-for profit and government organisations. He led the Regional Development Agency Yorkshire Forward as its chair for seven years, overseeing the Agency in growing the economy of Yorkshire and Humber with an annual budget of £350 million. Since leaving Yorkshire Forward Terry has launched his new business branded “Inspiration for Industry, Education and Regeneration” alongside this Terry continues his work with The Alchemists Foundation which is a Community Interest Company he founded in 2010, raising aspirations and creating a platform for young people to acquire new skills and tools, shaping a positive future for our next generation be that on a business, professional or personal level.Terry has undertaken other new roles including his most recent appointment as Chair of ‘NCFE’ an awarding body for the educational qualifications in Colleges and Schools throughout the UK, he is also a Visiting Professor attached to the Business School at Leeds Metropolitan University.
