I examine and analyze human tissues and body fluids to detect and diagnose diseases and monitor their progression and development in the field of Clinical Immunology, Allergy and Molecular Medicine .I am also completing a Ph.D in Asthma Allergy and Lung Biology. Or group at King's has an objective of showing that identifying mutations in human disease is not merely clinically useful but can inform basic science. Specifically, that those mutations that lead to primary immunodeficiency diseases, can inform human immunology as well as other areas of research. My research theme is aimed at understanding how genetic mutations affect B cell development and the mechanisms that lead to complications with primary immunodeficiencies.A central focus is to understand how varying functions of non-canonical nuclear factor kappa B proteins affect B cell production of IgA, independent of T cells, and whether these variations are due to genetic differences.
