I have practiced general Internal Medicine/Primary Care for 40 years and still am enthusiastic in my role as a patient advocate and health promoter. I particularly emphasize preventive medicine and view my role as an educator, reinforcing the evidence based reasons to control blood pressure, lipids, and diabetes and the relative contribution of lifestyle and inheritance in these and other conditions.I also have been active as a speaker for numerous pharmaceutical companies, presenting recent developments in medical research and pharmaceuticals to my colleagues.I am an active member of the Church of Christ, Fishinger and Kenny Roads in Upper Arlington, Ohio. I see a significant part of my ministry to be serving the aging community and have been a member of the Board of Directors of Willow Brook Christian Communities for thirty two years. Willow Brook is a non-profit organization and has three campuses in Columbus and Delaware, Ohio, providing independent living, assisted care, transitional care, skilled nursing and memory care. This continues to be a very gratifying experience.
