I have two roles in my present position. The Customs Management role is a role that I kept when moving to the Insurance Management role approx 12 years ago , and this was down to having many years of experience working globally within the Customs , Importing & Export area. I am resonsible for all areas of Customs management with compliance being the major concern that applies to the Importing & Exporting of Lucite's Raw Materials , Engineering equipment and all finished products. The compliance has become a major part of the customs management role and has become more complex area that covers the area of Trade Bans & Embargoes , Trade agreements ,Fiscal regulations and many other areas that have to be monitored and controlled by global companies. In respect my Insurance Risk management role I manage the global insurance policies for the business to ensure coverage of such policies are kept up to date with the changing external risks and the internal risks of Lucite's changing business.

Philips imported many parts into Australia in order to manufacture telecomunications equipment at a manufacturing base in Perth ,Western Australia. It was my role to manager the export supply chain of the manufactured finished product to many global markets.This was a A$ 10Mio export business.

As Export Manager I managed the logistics of global exports of items Philips manufactured in New Zealand in those days , such as Television sets , Telephonic Equipment , Glassware , Music records , Electric light bulbs.
