I joined the Architecture team at Waddell & Reed in 2013. Prior to 2013, I was the lead System Architect partnering with our business owners to assess each back office Transfer Agency and Client Service applications on our mainframe. For applications kept, I determined the future high level technology approach to fulfill the functionality; transition to a vendor, or rebuild it on our distributed platforms (SQL Server and Hadoop). In 2017, I transitioned to the Investment Mgmt and Funds Acctg domain areas; partnering with business owners and SME's to catalog and assess the business functions, and associated technology within their domain portfolio. Collaborating with business owners we determine functional areas in need of enhancements or no longer providing the current needed value. When application replacement was deemed necessary, I performed RFI and RFP technical vendor assessments. I additionally have experience in the Shared Services (Finance, Payroll, HR) domain area.In 2021, the company expanded the implementation of the SAFe methodology to the Asset Mgmt domains, where I collaborated as the System Architect with the Product Manager and the Release Train Engineer. When not working, I like to spend time outside tinkering in my flower gardens, sewing, reading historical fiction, or planning a travel get-away.
