I am one of the founders of the Calvert Socially Responsible Mutual Funds, the Calvert Funds and Calvert foundation, Calvert Impact Capital, and recently retired from their boards. I am also a founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Climate Restoration, Inc., CoolCap Fund, Inc., VegReady, Inc., and PCI Media.When Ben & Jerry's was bought by Unilever, I was one of the architects of the contract between them that had the board of directors remain in self-perpetuating existence with primary responsibility for "the social mission and brand integrity" of the company. I recently retired from 18 years on its board. My latest books are "Common Good Capitalism Is Inevitable," "Common Good Nation," and "Sensation of Oneness," available on Amazon.One of my current passion is building the Common Good Capitalism Movement (www.commongoodcapitalism.org) . The only solution that builds on individual freedom and free markets is for the competitors to behave like sports leagues. The competitors meet, reach agreements that give priority to the common good, and have the auditors monitor if the agreements are being kept. This will allow the public to be in an on-going conversation on what is best for the common good.

As chair of the Investment Committee, we oversee the management of the endowment assets. In 2006, I led the board into committing to invest these assets socially responsibly to be in alignment with our values. I have been chair of the Investment Committee ever since.

Trusts for All Children (TAC) helps parents and grandparents organize family members and friends create TAC Trust Funds for their children and grandchildren by each contributing $11 a month, more or less, until the child is 20 years old, when the trust fund is $50-80,000. The child then receives a monthly distribution until death, larger than possible from other trust funds, because then the remainder is invested forever in the TAC Global Fund with only any annual profits used to begin TAC Trust Funds for poor children around the world. It also continually raises money into the TAC Global Fund. As more people participate, the day could come when every child is born with a TAC Trust Fund...that is the goal we believe more will enthusiastically support as we go forward. It is using the way people became wealthy, using the stock market, to end poverty.
