I was then selected as President & CEO at the food bank in December of 2003. St Mary’s is recognized internationally as the world’s first food bank founded in 1967. During my tenure at the food bank we quadrupled the amount of food distributed on an annual basis. In 2011, my final full year, we distributed on average 250,000 meals a day to 700 agency partners in Arizona representing over 74 million pounds of food.
