My family has been in the cotton seed business since 1957 and I continued this family tradition by becoming a cotton producer in 1974. Between 1978 through 1985 we expanded into an Agribusiness focusing on fertilizer products.In 1987, I launched Grass Seed Services, Inc. which began a lifelong involvement in working with native grasses and wildflowers, including seed coating technologies. This business distribution covered the southwest states. Expanding on my interest in seed development, I began Associated Farmers Delinting, Inc. in 1991, which is a cotton seed delinting, breeding, and seed sales. This includes expanding into biotechnology and enhanced seed technologies. The company was acquired by Bayer AG in 2005.I now use my background agribusiness as a platform for working with grass and wildflower seeds. Our work has brought us to a place where we are enhancing bluebonnets seeds for enhanced germination and easier growth, The process combines my knowledge of the acid scarification processes from cottonseed delinting, adding inoculate processes from my fertilizer background, and encapsulation processes from my experiences with grass seed technology.The balanced combination of these technologies has enabled us to create bluebonnet seeds that are easier to grow.Specialties: I am currently involved as an agribusiness consultant and the owner of MCL Seed Solutions.
