Projects include:- Developing a China strategy for the Zoological Society of London- Developing a communications strategy and providing strategic advice for The Paulson Institute's conservation programmes- Advising international NGOs on the law governing the activities of foreign NGOs in China- Setting up, raising funding for, and implementing citizen science projects to track some of Beijing's iconic migratory birds such as the Beijing Swift and Beijing Cuckoo to Africa, generating significant mainstream media coverage including front page of the New York Times- In collaboration with German bank, KfW, capacity building and training for nature reserve staff at Hengshui Hu in Hebei Province, the most important site in the world for the critically endangered Baer's Pochard - Finding a Chinese manufacturer for Hookpod, a company that builds a device to stop seabird bycatch for the long-line fishing industry- Organising and chairing the climate change day of a major international conference on wetlands and climate change for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in Hainan, China in December 2017- Drafting a climate change adaptation strategy paper for GEF and the Hainan Development and Reform Commission- Setting up an innovative community-based wildlife tourism project in Qinghai Province on the Tibetan Plateau, working with local yak herder families, the local government and ShanShui Conservation Center. The project has subsequently been awarded the first community-based tourism concession in a national park in China and will inform policymaking on China's national parks, due to be announced in 2020.
