I am a highly experienced Chartered Accountant. I have worked in both practice and in commerce. I qualified as an ACA in 1985 and spent 27 years building my career in Financial Services mainly, culminating as CFO Quilter & Co. Ltd (now Quilter Cheviot) until April 2012 when I left to open up my own business as a practicing Chartered Accountant. My years at Quilter involved me in Risk Management, Financial Control, Business Administration, Senior Management leadership teams where I sat on the Executive Management Executive Group, Finance & Administration Executive Group, Risk Management Committee and various other Steering Committees. I also sat on or attended various Morgan Stanley and Citi Wealth Management Audit and Risk committees representing Quilter.I was involved in many acquisition and hiring negotiations both as a target company FD and also as an acquiring company. Selling Quilter to both Morgan Stanley and later to Citi, where I was proud to be associated with both of these major institutions, and then finally to an MBO with Bridgepoint Capital were significant personal achievements.
