Global certificate saved 15% in registration costs.• Led quality function at all facilities by driving local quality improvement plans (QIP) and reinforced the concept of total quality throughout organization with total quality, quality tool training, and QC circles. QIP focused on prevention and continuous improvement.. • Provided functional direction globally for all plants. PPM reduced 75% over 9 years and 20% last year.• Established system for customer support and communication that quickly alerted leadership team to pending issues. System collected and fed robust lessons learned data base used with all other plants and by new model introduction team. Customer support team saved $4M annually on customer claims.• Managed Customer Concerns Database. Determined when to engage to prevent escalation saving containment and expediting costs. Avoided $700K in expediting costs in 2011 vs previous year.• Approved all new suppliers and products after evaluating the risk-30 new suppliers avg/yr Savings last year was 3 million with the new sources and 2 million additional from existing suppliers when faced with the real possibility that we would resource.• Sponsored R&D projects to improve automatic inspection capability using the QFD process reducing PPM and cost of quality off the process by 75%. • Was the Quality driver for Shaping projects that reduced manufacturing costs 10% on simple parts through the use of SPC. • Managed all Warranty/Recalls.
