Developed IO path firmware, messages and queues which coordinated across multiple cores. Implemented multiple tasks which interacted using message queues, event flags and mutexes. Developed media scan state machine for Data Retention scanning. This included designing, documenting and developing the scanning control task as well as algorithms which followed Media Architectural Group's specifications.Developed garbage collection and folding tasks and algorithms. Algorithms followed Architectural specifications. Implemented and documented several Vendor Specific commands in coordination with Functional Test team.

Tools include gdb debugger, subversion SCM and Bugzilla bug tracking.Developed and updated documentation for firmware specifications, API specifications, test plans and equipment configurations. Lead engineer of EVT (Engineering Verification Test) team that verified iSCSI target features. Developed automation tools in C/C++ (linux userspace), python and bash scripts. Used Wireshark and Finisar Xgig for Ethernet packet capture and analysis, Medusa for iSCSI I/O traffic generation, and IOmeter for iSCSI I/O. Scripting utilized APIs for open iSCSI (linux), Microsoft iSCSI (Windows) and Medusa. Worked closely with cross functional team - linux driver developers, system test, firmware, ASIC and program management - to isolate bugs and ensure compliance. ASIC was successfully released in January 2014.

Developed minimal “live” Ubuntu linux image used for diagnostics and support of controller. Developed and integrated C modules, python modules and bash scripts to provide blade diagnostics, image installation and FRU (field replaceable unit) management. Worked with hardware designers during board bringup and manufacturing for FCT (Function Circuit Test) support. Lead team as Scrum Master using a lighter version of Agile.Tool chain included gdb debugger, git for SCM and Quality Center bug tracking.

Tool chain included Metaware and gdb debuggers, SourceSafe for SCM and Remedy for bug tracking.
