Working with Veterans Accountable Care Group and a host of best-in-class partners in healthcare in support of the VA CCN proposal, I led all medical integration and aspects of the bid process with a successful application submitted June 30th for Region 1 (13 states) for the VA Community Care Network book of business.

As Chief Transformation Officer for CHESS, I led the clinical team responsible for developing the capability to engage clients in defining the delivery system redesign necessary to assure optimized patient outcomes for this start-up venture of Cornerstone Health Care (a 350 provider multi-specialty group). I marketed and consulted with provider group and health system/professional organization clients (ex. GAFP, Health Care Connect IPA) on ACO overall strategy to effectively bridge from current volume-based to value, developing a framework for CHESS to engage and deploy successful methods to deliver results for practice transformation for external clients.

In 2010 and 2012, we successfully compiled, launched, and and received wide-spread adoption of the PCPCC Resource Guide: Integrating Comprehensive Medication Management to Optimize Patient Outcomes. This effort definitively defined comprehensive medication management as a critical component for success in the transformation to a coordinated care system. I have suggested language and demonstration projects at the state and federal level that have become law or agency adopted policy by working with both legislators and their staffs, federal and state agencies, and multiple stakeholders, while continuing to work on meaningful reform.
