     On joining the company with 26 staff I commenced my employment as PA to the three directors. My role expanded to include keeping personnel records, operating the computerised accounts package, network administration, recruitment of administration staff, managing the car fleet, co-ordinating all travel, diary and meeting arrangements for the directors and dealing with the pensions administration. As the company grew it became necessary to recruit staff to take over some of my responsibilities so that I could work exclusively as PA to the MD. In 1995 we recruited a Network Administrator to take over the network. To date we have recruited two more, all of whom reported to me until 1999. In 1996 a Financial Director was appointed. Due to the confidential nature of his role, I act as his Assistant. We have also appointed someone as HR Manager as we now have over 150 staff. In my current role as PA to the MD and FD, I co-ordinate their diaries and meetings, undertake project work for them and compile management information when required. I also organise all travel for the company including passports and visas, deal with purchasing and offices (capital expenditure). I am still car fleet manager as well as payroll manager. I arrange all of the corporate events eg Ascot, lunch in Paris, company fun days, Christmas parties etc. I have also arranged exhibitions and manned stands for Synopsys, giving demonstrations to prospective clients. Synopsys unfortunately went into liquidation and was bought out. Both the MD and FD were no longer wanted which made my position redundant.
