My time at onsemi included many different roles from Individual Contributor, Technical Lead, System Architect, and Design Center Manager.

Managed a team of engineers doing the physical design of IC’s for HP’s high end enterprise server line. Responsible for coordination with other teams, scheduling, and planning. This job also included management functions such as salary planning and performance reviews. For much of this time, I managed the budget for the lab.

Worked with various customers to deal with design issues associated with Synopsys tools. These included synthesis, physical synthesis, static timing analysis, test insertion and generation, and RTL design and debug. Also worked as project manager on turnkey ASIC development. Led a team of engineers, while coordinating with another Synopsys design team.

Worked in small design organization to develop IP. Developed Audio Sample Rate Converter and demonstrated operation using FPGA’s. Responsibilities include micro-architecture specification, RTL development, synthesis and lab debug.

During my years at Motorola, I was able to work on several designs in the High Performance Embedded Systems organization. These projects were mainly integration of 68000 and ColdFire processors with peripherals for embedded control applications.

This was my first job out of College. E-Systems was a military contractor working in reconnaissance and surveillance areas. I was able to gain a very wide range of experience. This included board design, low level software design, and standard cell design, as well as project leadership. Most of the work was either in control or DSP applications.
