After retiring from 23 years at Alcon Laboratories, I have found lots of great volunteer events. Appointed as the Fund Raiser / Event Coordinator with the Friends of the Burleson Library and planned a successful 1st Annual Links Fore Literacy Golf tournament. The next successful event was the 1st Annual Ladies Day at the Range hosted by the Arlington Sportsman's Club. We are now in our 5th year hosting this event.In her tenure at Alcon, she was responsible for Pharma, Surgical and Vision Care Operations, including Alliance opportunity management, including the coordination of confidentiality, material transfer and research agreements. Terry's expertise is in online databases including Company information, Technical Competitive Intelligence and Target Priority Landscapes. Terry was responsible for identifying new Surgical, Vision Care and Pharmaceutical business opportunities for research collaborations, license or acquisition. Terry has a scientific and medical background. She was a member of the Association of Vision Librarians, Special Libraries Association. She is a past member of HealthLINE and Ophthalmic Women Leaders Terry is considered an expert in her field and has given several presentations to the Association of Vision Science Librarians, HealthLINE, Dallas Marketing Association and SCIP (Society for Competitive Information Professionals). She has provided numerous tours of R&D, has served on several corporate committees, including the JA Bowlathon, Prevent Blindness, and clothing drive for a local Women's shelter.
