Responsible for the development and maintenance of plumbing products standards published by ASSE International. Coordinate and direct standards activities with participation in various industry standards.

Provide advanced expertise and leadership in the review, analysis, and technical decisions regarding required testing and evaluations in support of certification and/or registration services. Actively participate in standards and codes development with various external compliance agencies, standards development organizations and multi-stakeholder committees. Support all standards activities related to existing published standards and the development of new standards related to innovative products and technologies. Provide training to North America, Europe and Asia on water system products and their associated standards including testing in support of certification programs and processes.

* Co-ordinated, oversaw and audited certification activities for North America (NA), Europe and Asia both to Canadian and U.S. requirements. Provided technical advice and guidance on the interpretation of standards and tests pertaining to codes and product performance requirements. * Served as member of Senior Leadership Team which drove business strategies and identified industry trends and potential opportunities working with Global Business Units. Also member of US Mark Awareness Team tasked with brand name recognition of CSA certification mark in US jurisdictions. * Served as technical resource and member of Canadian Committees on plumbing and construction for standards and code development. Actively participated in Standards and Codes development for US and Canada.* Sought out as expert by NA regulators and global manufacturers related to plumbing and construction products to better understand product standards and code requirements. * Managed and oversaw 50+ technical staff in plumbing products, drinking water treatment systems and additives, pre-fabricated concrete, fenestration, manufactured structures including RV’s. * Developed and provided technical training to global technical staff in requirements and product functions dealing with plumbing and construction products. * Designed, specified and coordinated activities for development of new equipment and test methods related to new standards requirements and expansion of capabilities within CSA. Created plans for validation of equipment and methods prior to commissioning.* Participated and supported accreditation activities globally. Developed new programs and laboratories making preparations for accreditation audits. Performed internal technical and process audits to meet accreditation to ISO 17065, ISO 17025, Standards Council of Canada (SCC) CAN P-1500 and OSHA requirements.

* Originated formation of Design Reliability Department. Co-coordinated testing, specification and quality activities in department of engineers, analysts, test engineers and technicians dedicated to all phases of product development with focus on product reliability.* Led team to define process for development and listing of design parameters to meet customer needs, to comply with standards and ensure long-term quality products.* Collaborated with Compliance Department to ensure all domestic and international requirements were met. Provided documentation for certification of products.* Compiled and reconciled all codes and standards associated with plumbing industry, organizing them into format for comparison and cross-reference between all codes, Moen Test Methods and Moen proposed standards which resulted in creating comprehensive database of requirements.* Designed and developed new test equipment and fixtures, substantiated parameters and validated test procedures used to demonstrate product quality and reliability targets, above and beyond publish enforceable requirements. * Trained all new lab associates to codes, standards, test methods and operation of new and existing equipment.* Worked with design teams to resolve technical and design issues. * Supervised chemistry shifts and directed chemistry activities. Responsible for ensuring compliance with NRC, EPA and other regulatory specifications.
