As the General Counsel for APAC at Spencer Stuart, a large global executive search and leadership consulting firm, I lead a team of lawyers that manage all legal issues in the region, including corporate, employment law, data protection, negotiating contracts, and litigation matters. I have over 19 years of experience in the professional services industry developing and mentoring numerous team members, and I hold the CIPP/A and CIPM certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).I also lead a separate global compliance and risk management team that developed and implemented Spencer Stuart's global risk programs, including the Know Your Client (KYC) and sanctions review process, global compliance training program, and global code of conduct. I have negotiated and managed multiple complex and strategic market entries, employment disputes, and M&A transactions across geographies globally. One example was the incorporation and setup of a new regional business line as part of a M&A transaction carve-out acquisition that doubled the number of employees and increased revenue by over 25% in the region, for which I received the 2019 Lou Rieger recognition award.
