CHOSEN TO LEAD NORTH AMERICAN EXPANSION OF UNISYS' NEWLY VERTICALIZED TRANSPORTATION BUSINESSIn March 2015, Unisys asked me to take over US & Canadian operations for the company's newly vertically integrated Travel & Transportation business unit - Unisys supports 15 of the top 25 global airlines with modern mission-critical business solutions. Each day our systems check-in over 25% of the world’s passengers, and process about 25% of the world’s air cargo shipments. My responsibilities: Ensuring delivery excellence and innovative business development for existing clients, and sales leadership for potential new clients - including strategizing and driving Requests For Proposal from pursuit through response, pricing, downselects, oral presentations and contract negotiations. My forte is creating deep trusted relationships with customers at all levels. My focus: Strengthen relationships with existing customers, capture new business and grow sales. My results: Within 12 months, won several new logos, and negotiated a long term renewal of an existing Tier 1 client via a completely rejuvenated contract structure focused on new innovations, industry leadership and aggressive service levels.

Vp, Security Solutions & Industry Applications • Portfolio Development • Market Expansion

Reston, Virginia Usa

COMBINING UNISYS' GLOBAL SECURITY AND COMMERCIAL PRODUCT PORTFOLIOAfter developing and leading Unisys' security portfolio, I was asked to lead a combined global portfolio group tasked with identifying new market opportunities congruent with Unisys' technology expertise, and to create strategies and rollout plans for new products. The unit combined Security Solutions - identity management, border security, public safety, law enforcement, cybersecurity - with Industry Solutions, including those for transportation, financial services, telco/communications and the public sector.I was the senior functional group leader responsible for the vision, mission and strategy for the new portfolio. I led the management team, defined new solutions and products/services; and managed resources, market readiness and solution lifecycles. This required regular collaboration with sales leaders and marketing management to deliver plans for achieving revenue and market penetration targets. I also provided strategic direction and business management to ensure that the Unisys solutions portfolio was customer-centric, relevant, competitively differentiated, and profitable. Whilst managing this portfolio, I continued to be involved in capturing multiple important contracts, including a large contact with the UK Passport Office for facial recognition technology. My efforts drove a significant expansion in global sales while streamlining product lines. For my work in biometric and identity management solutions, I was globally-peer-voted to receive the ID World 2013 ID Leadership Award for building "a vibrant and innovative security practice at Unisys". I was also honored by the Biometrics Institute in 2013 with special recognition for 10 years of service as a member of the Board.

Vp, Security & Mobile Solutions • Portfolio Expansion • Strategy Creation • Product Differentiation

Reston, Va Usa

CREATING UNISYS' NEW MOBILE SOLUTIONS BUSINESSIn 2008, I was relocated by Unisys to the USA, and named Global Director for Identity Solutions. I was charged with applying biometric technologies to new security and identity management applications around the world. I was promoted to Vice President in 2010 to lead a new expanded solutions group covering identity, border control, airport operations, law enforcement and physical security. One significant revenue capture was a major contract with the Government of Mexico for a national ID system. In 2011, when Unisys wished to develop new’ mobile solutions strategies the company put me in charge of the initiative. I delivered a fully operational portfolio, with marketing plan and growth strategy, in just 12 months from inception through to business case investment, thought leadership, advocacy, and media launch.Global growth consulting firm Foster & Sullivan granted Unisys its 2008 award for excellence in applying biometric technology to commercial needs. I remained a resource for global media, including CNBC and the London Financial Times, as an expert spokesman on international security issues.

Security Solutions Director • National Security • Border Control • International Market Expansion

Canberra Act, Australia

BRINGING UNISYS' SECURITY SOLUTIONS BUSINESS GLOBALUnisys moved into the exploding national security/border control market in the early 2000s. Based on my international reputation as a national security/biometric technology/identity solutions expert from years with the Australian Passport Office, the company chose me to lead the development and commercialization of this new portfolio, and grow the regional, and later global, market. I made the transition from 20 years in government service to the commercial sector, applying my technological experience to shape Unisys' market strategy. With the benefit of an international reputation, I was able to negotiate large contracts with governments in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2008, the company put me in charge of the portfolio's global expansion, where I made Unisys a world leader in biometric/identity control technologies. I grew global security portfolio revenues, authored papers on international security issues, and appeared as a keynote speaker at global conferences on immigration and border control. I remained a trusted expert by US, European and Australian media.

Canberra, Australia

ESTABLISHING THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT AS A WORLD LEADER IN BORDER SECURITYMy vision of emerging computer technologies' relevance to biometrics and related identity management and border control needs made me a worldwide national security/border control authority in the aftermath of 9/11. I led Australia's early adoption of electronic passports and IT-based national identity/security systems, including the first multi-faceted biometric approach to individual identity management.I was invited by the White House to help develop a national US response to terrorist infiltration. I worked closely with the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Justice, and many US intelligence bodies.I also led the development of international biometric identification standards for the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and wrote the ISO standards for facial biometrics and the ICAO standards for e-passports.The US Department of State awarded me a Certificate of Appreciation, a privilege usually reserved for US citizen employees, in appreciation for ground-breaking work in biometrics and passport technology.
