Finance leader with extensive experience in the healthcare industry; key skills include rolling forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, data analysis, and the ability to explain financials and statistics in a way that's easy to understand. I love to learn new software and technology, and use it to make business processes easier and more efficient. I enjoy learning new ideas and sharing them with others.Experience working with hospitals, clinics, physicians, coordinated care organizations, and health plans, including Medicare Advantage.My idea of fun is building workbooks or writing macros, especially when they can be used to improve/streamline processes and activities. Even better is the opportunity to collaborate with others to create or improve those tools. I've created numerous easy-to-use decision-making applications for managers that help them hold costs at, or below, targeted levels.Axiom, Essbase, EPSi, Hyperion (HFM), Lawson, and StrataJazz are some of the financial systems I've worked with, and in some cases administered; Have used SalesForce, MedInsight, and have a working knowledge of QNXT; I use Microsoft Access and Excel constantly, and use VBA and SQL whenever possible. I often serve as the technical resource for teammates and staff.I enjoy working on teams, and believe it's important to share in the responsibility of getting the work done - not just to do it, but to do it well - so the overall outcome of the project is a success. I'm comfortable playing any role on the team, including being the team leader. Development of staff and their well-being is a top priority.It's important to look for ways to serve others, both at work and outside of work. Often it's the small things that can make a difference in the lives of those around us, and I feel it's important to watch for, and act on, those little things when we recognize them.
