My role since 2004 has been to try to address the causes and effects of anti-social behaviour as reported by residents to the Borough Council through various means.ASB Related to Specific IndividualsI typically respond to reports by direct contact with victims and perpetrators by phone, email or other means. If a visit is necessary I will choose an appropriate or effective representative from a partner agency, such as an Environmental Protection Officer, Housing Manager, Landlord, Warden, PCSO, Police Officer, Youth Worker etc.Persistent or repeat perpetrators may be referred to a range of multi-agency task groups chaired by senior police or local authority officers, including myself. One such group deals specifically with individuals causing anti-social behaviour. I occasionally chair this group and have since 2004 drafted numerous warning letters and acceptable behaviour contracts on behalf of the group, which I deliver through formal interview. In addition, the Group tries to offer support and encouragement through positive interactions with supportive agencies such as Kenward Drug and Alcohol Outreach, KCC Youth Services and dedicated family workers..Troubled FamiliesI am CAF (Common Assessment Framework) trained and have initiated and contributed to numerous Team around the Family (TAF) meetings. Through the Troubled Families program I took on the role of Lead Professional for six families - three of which were particularly challenging families. I am robust in my approach and I challenge negative behaviour in a way that does not alienate families or professionals.

Responsible for monitoring close to 100 CCTV cameras across the West Kent boroughs of Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge and Malling.Daily liaison with local police and retailers via 'shop safe' two-way radio system.Daily liaison with Kent Police Force Communication Centre via Airwave radio system.Built a 'rogues gallery' and retailer location database in Microsoft Access/VBA, and wrote a user guide for CCTV Control Room Operators.

• Appointed the task of setting up a Call Centre for four hundred students experiencing PC software and hardware problems. Created service level procedures to gauge customer satisfaction with response times and support. Designed and built an Access database to log call details and produce problem reports and resolution statistics.• Identified a need to move company sales data from multiple Works databases into a single integrated database, as Senior Technician, built a networked Access sales database driven by Visual Basic and SQL. Sales data, stored previously in multiple and variously incompatible Microsoft Works databases, benefited from a move to Access seeing a considerable improvement in accessibility, productivity and data integrity.• With more than eighty remotely located sales staff, managers and course tutors, the company held customer and student data in a variety of disparate Works databases. A two year project saw every piece of company data converted to Access databases with data moving freely between them all via the Internet.• The Learning Library Ltd runs an associated Finance Company. Tens of thousands of records were split between six Works databases held on stand-alone PCs. Designed and built a networked Access database, heavily reliant on VBA and SQL, to automate the management of regular customer payments. Built the hardware network to support the new database.• A growing company required more ICT courses. Used industry recognised syllabuses to create a PowerPoint course based around City & Guilds level 2 qualification, a DHTML/Web Design course for Open College Network (OCN) and an Office XP course using the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) syllabus version 3.
