As Process Engineer, worked to optimize production processes for quality, productivity and innovation in pursuit of corporate operational excellence goals. Employed the entire Lean Six Sigma Toolbox to root-out the causes of variation and inefficiency, then planned and implemented permanent improvements; four years of relentless pursuit of waste yielded documented savings adding to-up to high six figures and still counting. Many thanks to my colleagues in Operations at Crane's flagship Channahon manufacturing plant for a great 4 years, highlighted by progressive achievement of record-breaking facility performance in a fun and productive environment allowing for personal growth and development. Provided independent services to manufacturers and other companies in the fields of product development, process development, team building, concept mining & discovery and "development process formalization". In addition, designed research programs and Designs of Experiments (D.O.E.), targeting optimization of resources. Performed technical analyses assisting companies in organizing & interpreting data, drawing conclusions and authoring & managing project plans.

In just two years with TDC/Midwesco, spearheaded the design, installation and commissioning of a state-of-the-art filter testing lab; re-vamped the company's filter media offering with a market-leading new approach, including introduction of several new high-performance media, accomplished at low cost-of-entry by developing strategic partnerships with vendors; saved TDC's parent, MFRI, Inc. about 10% of its global annual spend for pleatable filter media through a global purchasing consolidation and rationalization initiative; managed a department of engineers, technicians and fabricators and participated in the management committee, helping to determine the company's overall strategic plans.

During a period of significant market shift at GMT, from primarily non-durable consumer goods to a tier 3 and tier 2 global automotive supplier, I managed the evolution of the quality assurance system into a world-class, ISO-registration-ready system; I hired and trained my replacement who then oversaw the registration process which led to single source status with numerous customers; After introducing a 6-sigma program in two departments, saw defect rates drop and first pass yields exceed any previous performance, promoting quality while driving labor and material savings to bottom-line performance, all in an environment of monthly double-digit volume growth for 3 straight years.
