Initially I am patching HTML and CSS with the long term to devise strategy that involves more reporting, regular analytics and customer feedback. There are numerous problems with the company site that needs to be addressed. I am taking a holistic approach to the future of the over arching brand, as well as addressing issues within each brand section. The role is very exciting and challenging, but most of all I am able to work within a management structure that believes in methodical, analytical approach to building UI UX throughout the business.

With the industry looking for streamlined methods of creating user centric designs, it has become important to understand the language of UI and UX. Having been a designer all my life, I have also championed the user all my life. In the past this has, admittedly, lead to conflict but I stand by my experience of the customer comes first. It is up to the company to understand their clients, not the other way around. I value analysis over opinion. My design choices are based on informed feedback, and I am always prepared to fight for the customer because that is what I am paid to do.

UI design, skinning and then build Security micro site on the internal CMS platform. Using global and custom CSS and of course HTML.

I look after ad-hoc custom design requests as well as consult on UX and UI projects.

Creating HTML emails with applied data capture coding to drive customer traffic to the Currys/PC World websites. From a short campaign brief I use that to create a design based on set templates. Once the various stages of approval and amends have been fed back to me, it is then up to me to create the HTML, implement the tracking code, upload all the necessary images to the FTP servers (for both Currys and PC World), then create and deploy the code via Exact Target. The process can take a few hours to over a week. The role is strong mix of CSS coding, engaging graphics and UI skills.

Create static HTML bannersDesign targeted emails & newsletters to Argos customers. These often require a fast turnaround time. All within set templatesCreated a PayPal landing page to show online customers how they can pay for their items using the PayPal system. The designs had to be built around templates and also a very short turn around time to complete them. Working closely with the Campaign team to respond to their requests quickly. I did a one off composite for the iPad app. They needed two photos taken at different times merged together seamlessly. That was fun.
