My initial work background was with nuclear reactor operations while my more recent work has been with the repair, maintenance and operation of analytical equipment. This has allowed me to see the operational aspects of business and experience how various companies operate. Specialties: Currently, I service scanning electron microscopes (SEM) servicing both thermal and cold field emitters. My responsibilities include customer relations, training, service of electron microscopes in connection with their electronics, mechanical operations, imaging and interface with other analytical systems. As with most analytical service industries, the job requires an understanding of chemistry, physics, biology, metallurgy and overall scientific understanding so as to understand the customer's applications and translate that into the tool so that the customer has a value-added solution to their daily industrial and research challenges.Previously, working with Aspex Corp., I also serviced scanning electron microscopes. The microscopes that we produced were more compact and focused heavily on particle analysis. Typical industries that used these tools were law enforcement, for gun shot residue (GSR) analysis, military, for jet engine wear analysis, and manufacturing, for failure analysis and quality control.I've served as a National Support Specialist for EDXRF and my specialty has been in the operation and troubleshooting of EDXRF & WDXRF equipment. I am also adept at providing a bridge between the industrial and operational side of EDXRF and the theory/applications side which allows me to better assist the customer with their specific application.
Listed skills include Troubleshooting, Electronics, Testing, Instrumentation, and 11 others.
