I have a strong track record and demonstrated success helping entrepreneurs, small-to-medium size businesses and nonprofit organizations prosper and thrive. I bring a wealth of experience including building two successful marketing agencies, managing a daily newspaper, riding the dot com wave, running non-profit trade associations and consulting with over 150 for profit and nonprofit organizations. I have worked extensively with agriculture and agritech companies, multifamily and commercial real estate, and B2B service providers. As staff leader to three 501(C)6 nonprofits, I have overseen substantial growth. As a volunteer, I have served on the board of 18 nonprofit organizations, and been chairman for three. I have been a solo consultant (as I am now) and managed a team of 125 for a Fortune 200 company. While focused on strategy, marketing and management, I have also used that experience to help other companies recruit top talent. I have solid expertise in brand development, marketing strategy and planning, strategic planning, operations, media and public relations, market research, content and message development, and recruiting.When not standing at my desk, I’m usually scuba diving in Monterey Bay, riding my recumbent bike, attending a concert, or otherwise spending time with family and friends.
