RESET is an early intervention education program for young people between the ages of 10-24 who may be "at risk" for involvement in minor drug and alcohol use, truancy concerns or choice of friendships. This program involves students attending four evening classes. As part of a sentencing agreement the Courts, State's Attorney, Board of Education, Department of Health, Juvenile Services and Teen Court allows our students to keep from having a criminal record. Parents may enroll their children without an arrest. RESET is also utilized as an alternative sentencing option. Adminstrator of $157,300 Department of Transportation grant for thirteen law enforcement agencies as well as providing educational program such as bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, school bus safety, impaired driving presentations to young drivers and providing an educational program for “mature” drivers fifty-five and older. Duties include quarterly reports and activity requests for appropriating the funds for traffic related events and programs. Conducting four quarterly Task Force meeting consisting of law enforcement, prosecutors, educators, civic organizations, local businesses and community volunteers. Conducting interviews on WNAV and WCTR radio and QAC TV 7 along with writing traffic safety articles and public service announcements for three local newspapers. Networking with fifty-two local businesses receiving donations of merchandise for rewards to young drivers, those wearing seat belts, SmartDrive Campaign (Delmarva Broadcasting Company) and other safety awareness campaigns. Traffic Safety displays and presentations to civic and community associations and to other community groups. Administering and supervising Impaired Driving Sobriety Check Points with Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office personnel, Kent County Sheriff’s Officer personnel and the Maryland State Police.

During my career, I worked ten different counties; Prince George's, Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Frederick, Wicomico, Dorchester, Talbot, Anne Arundel, Montgomery and was assigned to Executive Protection Division (Governor's Detail), Automotive Safety Enforcement Division and Field Operation Division. I instructed the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program from 1994 until 1999 along with initiating, administering and instructing the REALITY (early intervention education ) Program. I was a proud member of the State Police Color Guard and Honor Guard. Field Recruiter for the Recruiting Division.
