If I had to choose a word to describe me, I'm hard pressed between driven and passionate. I'm a workaholic because I absolutely love what I do, creating web solutions for dreams large and small. I'm not content with my creations until I know that they are rock solid and all the angles have been accounted for. Details nag at my conscience until I silence them with well thought out solutions. I'm a 20 year seasoned web programmer with a particular obsession with ASP.Net MVC, SQL, and jQuery. I had a very enjoyable 6 year season teaching programming and database design at the university level. This was a great time refine my understanding of technology and programming at its fundamental level. The experience of boiling down concepts and communicating them to an audience that wasn't always technically minded was an invaluable experience.If I was stranded on a deserted island and I could only take 5 technologies with me, they would be SQL Server, C#, jQuery, Gimp, and well.... Google. Other slightly refined skills in order of refinement: AngularJS, ColdFusion, Agile, Project Management, Photoshop, Java, Linux.Balancing my professional passions are my roles of being a father of 7 and a husband of 20+ years. Both my kids and wife have taught me the arts of humility and compassion through the roller coaster of marriage and parenting... and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Though I am a workaholic, I will not compromise the well-being of my family. I love participating in my community and I have spent the majority of the last 10 summers coaching T-Ball or Little League.Last, but not least, my faith is very important to me. I take the charge to become like Christ seriously and I have been blessed with opportunities to bring a few people on that journey with me.
