I was President of the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) from 2005 to 2009, Past President, and Chairman of the Executive Committee. As of March 23, 2015 I will be the Education Officer as a member of the Board of Governors. As Education Officer, I will be assisting the Board of Directors in the continuous process of updating our on-line certification testing and helping to coordinate testing programs that other companies might want to incorporate into our system.

As part of the AEI team working at Kaiser Aluminum, Trentwood, I designed, as needed, detailed Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural drawings; one-line diagrams, P&ID's, PLC's, facility additions such as new charge pits, as well as assist in writing standards. As part of the AEI team, I also did piping, plumbing and mechanical work with CH2M Hill for their CIP at the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility. This included assisting engineers in pipe routing and locating, placement of structural items.

Main project: $4 billion Casino Resort Hotel. By coordinating with the General Forman I was able to correct the contract engineers design intent to fit the actual space and design requirements. Reduced the number of corrections to drawings resulting in more efficient time use and more correct drawings. Increased productivity by creating libraries and routings for the drafters.Created company drafting standards increasing the consistency of drawings from project to project.

Main Project: $14 Million 14 story Office/Medical building. As the Lead, CAD Services Coordinator, I created all the layouts for paper space for all disciplines, with the appropriate backgrounds which resulted in a reduction of non-productive actions of the drafting team. Developed and monitored, working together with others, the department CAD standards. Created, and applied, training material that produced 14 ADDA certified drafters.

Major Project/Client: $10 Million Capital Improvement Program for major waste water treatment plant. As a contractor for CH2M Hill, I established a CAD focal point for 5 discipline specific engineers achieving better coordination between the disciplines and increased on-time deliverables. As a manager of a 13 drafter department for multiple nationwide fiber optic projects, I achieved on-time completion of milestones by coordinating surveyor information with engineering plans.

Developed and implemented training programs for AutoCAD as well as teaching AutoCAD through Advanced Level. I performed on-site training for company's such as HP and others. I worked closely with the Technical Department on creating lesson plans as well as assisting in support inquiries as needed.
