I litigate complex ERISA disputes on behalf of individuals harmed by unscrupulous actors with respect to employee retirement, pension, benefit, health, and welfare plans and similar such funds.I began my legal career as a judicial law clerk at the U.S. Court of International Trade, an Article III court with nationwide jurisdiction to hear cases arising under the customs and international trade laws, including disputes over tariffs, import duties, trade agreements, and other issues incidental to certain international trade transactions. I spent my formative years in New York litigating complex financial, securities, employment, and labor law disputes, always high-stakes, usually class actions, and often with international or transnational components.My longstanding dedication to the fundamental and uncontroversial principle that people of all means and backgrounds should have equal access to justice under the law is rooted in and informed by my prior career as a social worker in the criminal justice system and at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. With this background, I maintain a commitment to pro bono work.I am admitted to the practice of law in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and Indiana, and in various federal district courts, including the U.S. Court of International Trade. My admission to the practice of law in Missouri is pending.In 2022, 2023, and 2024, I was recognized as a SuperLawyers® Rising Star.
