An opportunity presented itself to teach mainstream school kids and also couple evenings a week in 2019 and got hooked.Mainly teach primary schools (Prep-Gr6) and after schools (predominately level where they learn good technique on freestyle breathing and breaststroke kick) but also do higher levels including pre-squad Breaststroke / Butterfly, youth and adults. With all the mental health issues out there, often deal with those with ASD (Autism spectrum disorder), ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), GDD (Global developmental delay), ODD (Oppositional defiant disorder), Selective Mutism (anxiety such they cannot speak in some settings), phobia's (taught one person that had been resuscitated twice as child to manage phobia/anxiety) etc. as well as physical challenges (vision, Cerebral Palsy etc).Picked up various swimming courses and lifeguarding along the way and recently completed a Diploma of Counselling to assist clients better.

Assigned to critical project due to lack of progress. Conducted a project review and calculated the cost of issues (~$1.6m pw.) and root cause analysis (identified a mix of technical and cultural issues) that would not be resolved with existing direction. CenITex challenged and confirmed all technical issues and a programme of 12 projects presented and approved by CIO of DHS and CenITex. • Leading the re-initiation of the previously stalled Moe Call Centre Upgrade Project. The ~$1m project to upgrade the Avaya / Open Wave systems had been stalled for 3 years between AlphaWest and DHS. Project situational review identified many issues including the need to stabilise and make accessible interfaced systems and fulfilling the DHS obligations. Successfully negotiated technical and contractual issues and completed project in four months. • Orchestrated the upgrade of organisational telephone systems within a pressured timeframe. EOFY funds were made available for phone upgrades (~$120k). Several offices with highest impact identified and created tender / contracts to roll out of NEC SV8100 and VOTS systems. Strong liaison with suppliers and managers for cutover and staff training saw project completed within tight time frame.• Assumed management responsibility and deploying an appropriate carer registry. Situational review showed project had stalled due to personality conflicts between project manager and the project team. Assumed control and completed several scheduling workshops, rectified communications and coached the Project Manager to re-establish a team environment to complete project on time.

Determined that a contract with Vodafone stipulated the relocation of data storage. Assessed the current system of ETL, Oracle database, security, assessed the Ericsson ENIQ system and planned the relocation to the Ericsson servers. Result: The Oracle based system was successfully relocated as per recommendations.

Initially launched as Dutchtone and rebranded to Orange Netherlands, the company was established at a time of deregulation for the operation of a mobile cellular telephone network. • Identified and rectified various issues which had resulted in less that optimal deployment practices of the 3G network. Result: Numerous changes where made at senior levels and organisational recommendations were adopted, resulting in the increases of deployment of sites from 5 to 60 per week to comply with government requirements to retain the €600m frequency allocation. • Increased the stability and usability of the Network Performance Management System. Result: Data loads increased from 83% with low system availability to over 99% with high availability. Orange Group received a Centre of Excellence Nomination for excellence in this area. • Replaced the Network Performance Management System and ensured system capability for 3G deployment. Result: The upgraded produced was adopted by in excess of 20 companies globally. • Oversaw the deployment of an accurate and user-friendly ticketing system. Result: The application was well received and remained operational, with minimal modifications, in the following years. • Constructed a demonstration system which depicted the benefits associated with the establishment of a Business Objects system. Result: Enabled the adoption of a standard reporting tool which successfully interfaced to a range of organisational databases. • Improved the operations of Radio Optimisation Team through the establishment of data warehouse.Result: Enabled the production of approximately 80 graphs and tables in 30 seconds. Radio Network Performance improved and the Manager of Radio Optimisation stated that staff were able to locate the root cause of issues with enormous efficiency.• Negotiated and managed the delivery of the Nokia 3G Packet Core Deployment. Result: The project was successfully completed two days ahead of interfaces.

Most challenging being the concrete roofing over large tanks (as given less than a week before a Christmas shutdown to organise when construction industry normally closed) and a project to plan the raising of a roof as larger machines were required. Designs showed that over 4km (when rationalised) of pipework (did initial designs personally) and 600 cables were scheduled so that minimal downtime would occur.
