I have been in leadership roles for 30 plus years. The last several I have been CEO/Administrator at an inpatient child & adolescent Psychiatric Hospital in North Louisiana. I also hosted a daily regional ESPN radio show and later a FOX affiliate for 9 years and still do a couple hours of sports talk radio each week I served as an Adjunct Professor at several colleges and universities for 2 plus decades. National Champions in 2006.I was the NABC National Basketball Coach of the Year in 2006 after Texas Wesleyan University won the National Championship in Kansas City. 4 of my last 5 seasons we won the RRAC Conference Title and went on to the National Tournament..For several years I also served as Athletic Director and NCAA/NAIA Compliance Officer at Texas Wesleyan University. The various and unique situations have provided me with a perspective as a recruiter at a very high level and also an Administrator that is approachable with a problem solving penchant. Head Basketball Coach/Hper Instructor
During my 13 year tenure at Texas Wesleyan i was honored to be the only college basketball coach at the 4 year level to win a national championship in Texas since 1989. I was selected National Coach of the Year by the NABC, Rawlings, Hillyard and Basketball Times. and was nominated an additional 2 times for National Coach of the Year by College Insider. I was selected 'one of top Head 25 coaches in the country not a NCAA Division I Head Coach in 2011 by College Insider. From the period 2005 until 2012 I had the most wins of any college basketball coach in the state of Texas at any level and we were very blessed to have tremendous groups of young men to work with every year. We ran off 26,21,22,29,27,30 and 25 win seasons during that period that included 4 straight conference titles and 6 of 7 seasons making National Tournament appearances in Kansas City.My years at Texas Wesleyan University saw numerous players go on to the professional ranks and multitudes complete their education by obtaining their degrees. All15 members of our 2006 National Championship team received their diplomas.I am very big on honor and loyalty and having learned way those things can never be taken for granted.
Ncaa Compliance Director
solely responsible for maintaining records and ensuring compliance by all staff, student athletes and institution as related to NCAA Division II and III standards and then NAIA. I handled investigations and coordinated with the University President, Conference Director and NCAA on a wide variety of topics that related to our institution, student athletes and our sports programing.
Athletic Director
Responsible for overseeing 8 intercollegiate sports. Wrote and impletmented plan to move Texas Wesleyan from NCAA II status to NCAA III status and then to NAIA Division I membership by compiling and assembly of the relevant research, and gaining support of school, community and faculty. The result in returning to the NAIA for Texas Wesleyan University was an extraordinary success for the institution, but most of all for the student athletes that despite changes in leadership benefits the institution and the student athletes to this day.

I served as Basketball Chair for the Red River Athletic Conference. Duties included devising a Master Schedule for the conference each year in an incredibly geographically diverse conference comprising institutions in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. I also was responsible for conducting generally 2 meetings per year with institutions and their coaches as it relates to the sport of Basketball. We would make recommendations to the Presidents. I also worked closely with the Red River Conference Comissioner Tony Stigliano during this period.
National Ratings Board
Represented the Red River Athletic Conference as a voting member of the National Ratings Board for the NAIA. These 12 positions were responsible for researching and voting each week on the top 25 and for making recommendations to the National l Tournament Directors. Attendance each year at National Ratings meeting in Kansas City was a requirement.

Anchored signing a top 25 recruiting class in my first year resulting in a conference title the next season (first one at SLU in 20 years). Daily responsible for recruiting NCAA Division I Basketball players from around the country and overseas, , managing their academic and athletic progress. I devised schemes and game plans including pregame prep and in game coaching strategies. Also responsible for starting the SLU Team Basketball Camp which had 32 teams in the initial year. We were the first program in the state to start a team camp and that business thrives to this day.

I worked for Hall of Fame Coach Lewis Orr and was tasked with formulating a graduation plan for each athlete and helping them set realistic goals with their educational pursuits. The Navarro athletes I was directly involved with (in addition to our other coaches) went on to Providence College (Big East), Oklahoma University (Big 12), Southeastern Louisiana University, Cal State-Fullerton, SFA, Sam Houston State, Weber State, Oklahoma Christian, and numerous other 4 year opportunities.
