Terry has purchased 7 comml ins agencies, 2 Work Comp TPAs, 1 medical billing co, partnered w/ 2 PPOs, partner Bermuda captive and started 12 companies alone & w/ partners. His experience expands claims, Ins agencies/cos, TPA's, PPO, ins,bill ajudication and real estate. He has acquired the CRM (Certified Risk manager) cert. Terry holds the CWcHP designation which is a Certified Work Comp Advisor for Healthcare Professionals. He completed the CIC insurance program as well as achieve a CRE designation in real estate investing. Terry is insurance licensed in 30+ states and office is located in Birmingham, Alabama. He's had the privilege of serving in all capacities on the Board of Directors with an international association CICA (Captive Insurance Companies Association). He served as the outgoing Chairman of the Board of CICA. He also served as the local President of the local Chapter of Independent Agents. He served on the board of Alabama Utility Contractors Assoc., Alabama Captive Assoc, numerous other boards and also served as Chairman of the Board for the Kowaliga Volunteer Fire Department with 20+ Fire Fighters, 2 fire stations for 10 yrs. Terry made his first trip to the Islands of Bermuda in 1985 and began his 37 year history of studying the "alternative and reinsurance" insurance arena. He formed an international captive insurance company which he became a founding partner which wrote work comp, GL, AL, PL in multiple states. Terry has consulted with over 25 companies and associations in setting up their own risk bearing insurance company off shore in Bermuda/U.S. Terry founded a work comp claims administration company in 1999 with a partner/lawyer business associate. Terry acquired 100% of MRM IN 2015. MRM is a work TPA, who administers claims prodomiantly in the state of Alabama. Their client list is trade associations, self insured funds, Alabama State Guaranty Fund, individual self insureds and group pools.Terry's co owns 25% of the largest work comp PPO in Alabama. AlaMed has over 12K medical providers, 25K corporations as clients and over 1,000,000 employees in their network. They are second in size in Alabama only to BCBS. Terry and partners purchased Health Choice the 2nd largest healthcare PPO in AL in 2018 which has over 6k contracted providers. Terry created First Responders Benefits Program in 2019, which provides state mandated fire fighter cancer and disability coverage to the FF population in Alabama. Terry also created the MRM Jail System Program which manages healthcare for county inmates throughout Alabama.
