Developments in global financial markets in recent years have resulted in significant changes in asset management. As long-term investment returns have fallen short of expectations, the need for and interest in alternative asset management has greatly increased.Apart from securities and exchange-traded funds, investors' demand for Venture Capital Investment Funds (VCIFs) and Real Estate Investment Funds (REIFs), known as alternative investment funds, also increased as a result of their search for long-term and alternative returns.However, alternative investment funds are also difficult and impossible to access, particularly for individuals. Cumbersome documentation and limited awareness are burdens that keep individuals out and access has always been dominated by institutions. This situation restricts the long-term resources that can be transferred to the real estate sector and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, which are the cornerstones of Turkish economy.At Fonmap, we set out to open a new era by making alternative fund investing accessible and available to individual investors.
