I would love to work for an eco conscious architect or designer.Over the last decade, thanks to the computers and mobile phones, our life has become more convenient than ever. Also, because of the internet access and technologies, we are able to conserve time and paper. It is a win-win situation for us human beings and the environment. Likewise, there are ways to create more convenient, more eco-friendly, and yet more beautiful buildings in the construction industry. I believe that it is time (or even overdue) to make a drastic shift from disposable to sustainable, and from pollutions to clean air & water. This is why I am very interested in working in the eco-conscious / sustainable architectural design industry. What You Do is What You AreI think everything we do for living contributes to shape this society and even this planet. In other words, it is not the economy itself that has created the society, but it is the people who have been working in it and getting paid have done it. We are part of it. Moreover, since we spend approximately 8 hours working, another 8 hours sleeping, 2 hours eating, and 6 hours getting ready for those three activities, I feel that it is a waste of my time to spend a third of my precious day working for what I am against. It is true that we have to work to make a living and support ourselves, but I am not sure if we are making a "living" while ignoring our beliefs and emotions. Life is much more than making money and paying the bills. I believe that we should be proud and also responsible for what we do in the society.I am confident that I can apply my skills, knowledge and experience to the "green" architecture / design industry.
