I am a current student at the University of Texas at Dallas and I’m currently majoring in Biochemistry. I am also a certified pharmacy technician. I went to college at Texas State Technical College (TSTC). The best experience I had was when my class had to do our internships at the hospital. It was always busy and there where patients everywhere. That’s when my interest of becoming a doctor started back up. It was the smell of the area and the phones ringing non-stop. The running nurses and doctors to save patients’ lives. The little babies crying for their parents.I was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society while I was at TSTC. I also made the Dean’s list and President’s list. My plan after I graduate with my B.S. is to attend medical school. I haven’t decided whether I want to be a Neurosurgeon or a Pediatric Surgeon. I know that’s on two opposite sides of the spectrum, but it’s what I have a passion for. The career I would be looking for is one in a teaching hospital or a level one trauma hospital. Just being able to be in this environment and thrive would be amazing for me. Being able to help someone else is my main goal. My long-term goal is to have my own partnership.I work at Office Depot as a print services associate. Some of my job duties intel’s sale of black and white copies, color copies, faxing, laminating, graphic arts printing, large-format printing, prepare projects for printing, document scanning and enhancement from start to finish, Download jobs from email or print queues, size, sort and finish, and Set up quality controls for work accuracy. Throughout the day I reply to first level end user calls to identify problems, run test copies and know machine status, conduct glass cleaning, toner replacement and general work area cleaning through schedules trips. The list goes on and on. I am very busy so when I do have down time I spend that on study or doing homework.
