I was the kid who was fascinated with the advancement of technology. I dreamed of being a part of creating the future. As a result, I pursued a degree in Computer Science and Math.While in college, I took my talents to Tucson, AZ to join Raytheon Missile Systems as a Software Engineering intern and continued my internships each of my collegiate summers until I graduated and was hired as a full-time Software Engineer. After a few years in software, I was invited to participate in an Engineering Leadership Development Program, where I was introduced to Program Management. I then realized I had more joy in managing people and building relationships than focusing solely on coding, so once I completed the program I was offered a position that was the perfect mix of both Program Management and Software Engineering.Currently, I am a Technical Program Manager at Google; supervising strategic project roll-outs, developing long-term strategies, and leading large portfolios of projects from end to end. My broad technical knowledge allows me to pick up new and complex technical concepts very quickly, reverse engineer solutions, and design new solutions to complex problems.​In addition to my work at Google, I am also actively involved in educational programs, with a focus on STEM, that empowers youth in my local rural community. Most recently, I’ve authored a children’s book, Think Like A Computer, to introduce children to Computer Science through an engaging narrative. I take great pride in giving back as a STEM advocate and mentor to afford youth from rural areas educational opportunities that would otherwise only be available to those in larger cities. I have received recognition professionally from Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, Louisiana Senator Clay Higgins, and the prior Lafayette Mayor President Joel Robideaux for my efforts to introduce STEM to youth from underprivileged backgrounds. My humanitarian efforts can also be felt both locally and globally. I am the recipient of keys to three Louisiana cities: Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Opelousas, Louisiana; Sunset, Louisiana. My hometown, Sunset, also issued an official proclamation on March 24th to honor my accomplishments and civic contributions annually. My spirit of helping others in need has also made a huge impact globally, as I was officially appointed as one of the United States Goodwill Ambassadors – by President Yahya Jammeh, the President of the Republic of The Gambia.
