I am a man with great curiosity and creativity, good at integrating different domain knowhows into solutions, good at thinking, analyzing, communicating, and problem solving. VR/AR is probably the favorite topic in my career until now. I have a theory about personal IT devices: Any personal IT device share three common features: computing, storage, and IO, no matter if it’s PC, laptop, smartphone, or even smart watch. Nowadays most of these devices are already equipped with enough computing & storage capability to serve most of our daily applications, so…“why bigger/heavier devices didn’t go extinct?”. My answer is, IO speed is the key of this era. Bigger display directly leads to faster information receiving speed (from device to user, and theoretically nothing provides bigger display area than AR/VR). User intention input speed is another bottleneck of the whole information flow, which is what I am trying to improve recently. At work, I love to share and help my colleagues out, especially on promoting skills that help us to form an effective team. E.g. I volunteered to build an unified dynamic logging system (2009), division Gerrit server (2012) and project wiki (Re-camera/Vive), so that any one of us can easily get a global picture of log messages/project architecture/design concepts, and having an good starting point to work with. I hate dirty codes, inefficient architecture, loose version/document tracking, or even lousy sample tracking flow. In short, I always try the best to run everything in a professional way at work, so that all of us can save the wasted energy/brain space and spend them onto something worthier, e.g. a ground breaking innovation, or just simply making our code easier to read & maintain.With all my love in personal IT system, still I am open to different kinds of challenges, as long as it’s about “making the whole thing right” from end to end, which is what I am good at.
