I produced Coalface's monthly magazine, writing and editing engaging content for print, creating a weekly digital newsletter, co-ordinating Coalface's social media channels and maintaining the website until it was re-branded and expanded into Hunter Industry NewsThe magazine offered the mining community a voice and covered everything it needs to know about working in the mines and living in the major mining regions of NSW.Delivered as a monthly magazine, digital newsletter and online portal with a readership of 45,000 in print distribution and digital subscriptions, Coalface offered an exceptional advertising platform to promote B2B engagement, branding & exposure for all businesses associated with the mining & related industries including heavy industry such as manufacturing, transport, infrastructure.

The mission of Get Healthy at Work is to improve the health of working adults and help reduce the prevalence of chronic diseases such as type2 diabetes and heart disease.Responsibilities: To positively promote the Get healthy At Work initiative to new and existing clients through;● Event support – presentation development and delivery, promotion and resources● Stakeholder support – presentation development, resources, liaison● Service provider support – resources, marketing support, liaison● Website support – performance monitoring, design and development, technician● Develop content through the provision of structured media support and materials● Network engagement and relationship management with key journalists● Manage media and news content for the Get Healthy At Work website● Manage and populate the network’s social media accounts aligning with strategy● Regular communication to maintain business motivation and support behavioural change

I assisted the University's various faculties and divisions with: internal and external communications, issues management, international and local media relations, event development, digital channel management and CMS support, media training, responding daily to media requests for expert comment / academic expertise and managing relevant breaking news, managing multiple marketing and media campaigns to suit the always changing team agenda of the day and targeting international markets to drive student recruitment, engagement and global brand awareness.From conducting face-to-face and phone interviews with researchers and academics, to dissecting complex journal extracts and in-depth research-grant applications, I was able to withdraw the necessary information and work with the key stakeholders to formulate newsworthy and easily digestible media releases, right through to fully integrated marketing campaigns, aimed at both internal and external stakeholders. Within the diverse structure of the University I gained exceptional skills working collaboratively within my own media team, but also with varying internal stakeholders from executive and professional staff to academics, non-academic staff and students.
