I have worked at Telethon Kids Institute since completing my degree at Curtin University in 2012. I began work as a Research Assistant for the Collaboration for Applied Research and Evaluation and have since been working as a Research Officer in the Brain and Behaviour Research Focus Area. In my role as research assistant I have worked with colleagues on multiple research projects covering a wide range of research areas. As a Research Officer I have conducted an evaluation of the Choice and Partnership Approach in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in WA under contract from the Department of Health. Through this work I have gained extensive experience in; survey design and administration across multiple platforms; data management and cleaning; compiling literature reviews; preparation of materials for reports and manuscripts; organising and conducting focus groups and in-depth interviews; the recruitment and engagement of research participants; key stakeholder engagement; interview transcription and thematic analysis; quantitative and qualitative data analysis; report writing for the Department of Health; and research budget compilation. I have recently been awarded a FASD Research Australia Centre of Research Excellence PhD Scholarship through Telethon Kids Institute to fully support my completion of a PhD.
