CHAT is a remote resource group for individuals with aphasia. We meet weekly to share stories, strategies, and information with the hope of building a safe and supportive aphasia community. In my role, I developed session materials and led intern activities, boosting engagement and productivity. I streamlined communication between lab staff and patients, improving response times and satisfaction. My strategies increased new patient recruitment by 30%, enhancing community engagement. I also procured resources to improve care, including raising aphasia awareness, facilitating access to research, and integrating technological assistance.

Position involves creating materials and activities for weekly sessions, interacting with aphasic participants/ facilitating conversation between them, and collaborating with other interns to adapt the program to the needs of the group.

In this role, I worked with a team on experiment using imaging techniques to better understand language recovery in aphasia. I helped optimize the experimental design using PsychoPy software and ensured the proper functioning of lab equipment, including the EEG cap, to support data collection.
