A keen interest in natural history, native flora and fauna and travel led me to studying a degree in Nature Tourism (BA Nature Tourism, La Trobe University). This degree opened up a world of opportunities for me, took me to every state in Australia and helped direct my career focus into natural resource management and environmental education. During my degree, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Outdoor and Environmental Education, increasing my knowledge and passion for education and community engagement. Working across our catchment's rivers and wetlands, inspired me to complete a Graduate Certificate in River Health Management.My career goal is to increase community awareness of environmental issues though environmental interpretation and development of creative and engaging resources, to encourage a sustainable balance between production, natural resources and a healthy lifestyle in order to support the increasing demand from a growing population.
