- Performs daily operations of DNA extraction and quantitation from saliva, whole blood, and buffy coats along with qPCR, ddPCR, and the Illumina genotyping in a NYS certified CLIA laboratory- Operates and maintains liquid-handling instruments (Tecan EVO, Janus, Flexstar, Sciclone)- Maintains laboratory logs, manages ordering reagents, organizes and optimizes routine lab processes, including helping with interns and training other laboratory technicians, and communicates with third party companies to fix machines or streamline processes- Currently training on Next Generation Sequencing RNA library construction- Additional responsibilities include fire safety warden and 24/7 on-call response for over 60 freezers

- Assist introductory chemistry students with understanding materials and help foster a strong, interconnected chemistry community within HWS- Share helpful study tips, time management skills, and critical thinking strategies

- Focused on the synthesis of molecular wire candidates and characterization of the compounds using 1D and 2D NMR, MP, and IR- Presented research at the New York State 2022 American Chemical Society Undergraduate Research Conference

- Wrote notes for the inorganic chemistry class as the professor for the class broke her arm and could not write- Reinforced knowledge from a class I previously took and helped establish confidence in front of a classroom

- Monitored and regulated house behavior and activities, similar to the role of an RA- Organized programming and encouraged engagement to help combat food insecurity in the surrounding Geneva area while working closely with the HWS Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning

- Manage day-to-day office services: answering the phone, organizing logistics of students moving in and out of rooms, providing pristine customer service- Helped to research and promote new housing options to facilitate a more productive sophomore housing option with a focus on finding mentors, establishing a leadership role on campus, and community engagement
